Introduction
Abortion refers to the termination of a pregnancy so that it does not result in childbirth. It
is deliberate and done within the first 28 weeks of the pregnancy. For couples or even a woman
faced with the dilemma of abortion, it can be very hard for them. Abortion has always been a
controversial issue, one that has resulted in a lot of heated debate where some people are in support
of the issue while others hold that it is unethical and morally wrong. Most people have a stand
when it comes to the issue of abortion, however, there are those very few that are decided.
Right to life
The right to life refers to a moral principle which means that everyone has a right to life
and nobody should take it away from them by killing them. Article 3 of the Universal Declaration
of Human Rights goes further to state that the right to life is inherent and it should be protected by
the law. When it comes to abortion, the right to life is a topic that has stirred up a lot of debate.
With some arguing that an embryo has a right to life while others argue that it does not. A nondeveloped person does have a right to life. Life begins at conception; this means that abortion is
