Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!
I guess your question is to solve x^2+5x+6=0. If not please precise which problem do you want to solve ?
I'm here to help you. I'm waiting for your feedback.
yes i need to know how to solve x^2+5x+6 .
can you solve it step by step for me?
It doesn"t mean anything to solve x^2+5x+6. Is your question to solve x^2+5x+6=0. You can solve an equation but you need 2 parts on it.
I want to help you but I need the complete question.
im supposed to diamond factor it.. im sorry i have no idea what im doing
I Think that what you have to solve is x^2+5x+6=0
Can you confirm me that ?
Ok let's go, did you hear about the discriminant ?
The discriminant is important to find the solutions of an equation like a*x^2+bx+c=0
Exactly like what you have
with a = 1 , b = 5 and c=6
The discriminant in the general case is D=b^2-4*a*c
So here D=25-4*6=25-24=1
and the solutions are in the general case x1=(-b-sqrt(D))/2a or x1=(-b+sqrt(D))/2a
So in this case x1=(-5-1)/2=-3 and x2=(-5+1)/2=-2
-3 and -2 are the solutions of the equation x^2+5x+6=0
Also a factorisation of x^2+5x+6 is (x+3)(x+2)
Hope this helps !!!
