follow up answer :  infinitely many solutions 2 lines have different slopes and different y intercept

 exactly one solution 2 lines different slopes and same y-intercept

 no solutions exist 2 lines describe same slope and different y-intercepts

this is a graph  these are multiple answers to choose from

(i have broken your non stop sentence as follows )

a number equal 2x a smaller number plus 3

y = 2x +3

the sane number equal to twice the sum of the smaller number and 1  how many solutions are there for this situation

y = 2 (x+1)  ; y = 2x+1

Both equation have same slope  but different y intercept ... there fore No solution
