Find the slope of the straight line that passes through the coordinate pairs (0, -3) and (-2, 7).

Jun 21st, 2015

Hi !

(0, -3) and (-2, 7)

Where      x1 = 0  y1 = - 3    x2 = - 2     y2 = 7

Slope = m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

Putting the values, we get

Slope = m = (7 - (-3)) / (- 2 - 0)

Slope = m = (7 + 3) / - 2

Slope = m = 10 / - 2

Slope = m = - 5

Hence the slope is - 5

Hope you get it. Thanks :)
