Two objects are connected by a string of
length 4.8 m and negligible mass. The 10 kg
block is placed on a smooth table top,and the
7kg block hangs over the edge of the table (3.6 m from end of table). The 7 kg block is then released from
rest at a distance of 1.2 m above the floor at
time t = 0.
The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s^2. Determine the acceleration of the 7kg block
as it descends.
Answer in units of m/s^2. Round  decimal places

7kg block is at 3.6m from the end of the table and rests at 1.2 m above the floor

acceleration of gravity=9.8m/s^2

acceleration of an object=  (v2-u2)2s

the distance of hanging from the edge of the table=3.6 and the distance from the floor=1.2m

the difference from the two is 3.6-1.2=2.4m

acceleration=2.4*9.8m/s^2=23.52m/s^2
