Creativity and Innovation 3
Executive Summary
In the contemporary world, the new market is quite unforgiving as well as intolerant to
products which have low quality. In such a complex environment, it is quite challenging to
manage organizations since they demand a range of product architectures, changing the
industrial economies and destroying the existing organizational competencies. In addition, the
organizations also demand the creation of new value networks where they can compete, and
finally they require investments in technology with highly uncertain results. In light of the above
context, it is evident that the success of companies is dependent on innovative capability.
Research has indicated that innovation and creativity are crucial in developing competence in an
organization. In the case of Royal Courts Affairs, there is a need to implement certain
suggestions to update the level of creativity which is evident in the firm based on the analysis.
Introduction
Creativity and innovation are vital elements with regard to long-term development as
well as the sustainability of organizations in any dynamic environment which has rapid
globalization in addition to advances in science and technology. This report is aimed at analyzing
the importance of creativity and innovation as well as the barriers of the same elements and their
impact on the organization Royal Courts Affairs. The success of a firm relies on their capability
of implementing innovative ideas due to creativity. Numerous researches have realized the
significance and role that creativity and innovation play towards developing competencies and
quality products in an organization. Majority of firms have barriers to creative ideas as well as
innovation. Some barriers are quite obvious, and on the other hand, others are subtle. Some
barriers are caused by attitudes together with perceptions of the organizational leadership. On the
other hand, others are caused by organizational structure, the employee themselves and the social
aspects. These challenges to creativity and innovation manifest in several ways in Royal Courts
Affairs and tend to undermine if not ignore new and better ideas which would help improve
quality products. Thus, this report seeks to understand the creativity and innovativeness concept
in Royal Courts Affairs as well as sustainability.
Analysis
One of the vital resources for an organization is organizational culture. The latter plays a
crucial role in human resource and connection of a firm’s performance. Baer (2012, p.1103)
suggests that organizational culture has a strength which is a crucial mediator between the human
resource management system and the creative performance. Baer (2012, p.1105) argues that the
manner in which people share a similar interpretation of the expectations regarding behaviors
and their reward is affected by a strong climate. As a result of the above effect, it creates a
situation where there is higher organizational efficiency. A stable climate is typically similar to
an organizational culture that is shared. Baer (2012, p.1110) noted that human resources that are
strategically proactive causes a corporate culture which is innovative and creative, as opposed to
one that is only required to execute business strategies. He developed an organizational
innovation model which explains that innovation culture is responsible for intelligence as well as
innovation outcomes. Further suggestions by Baer (2012, p.1107) paint a picture where there is a
need for development towards a culture which is based on technology with the aim of creating
competitive advantage in firms which are technology intensive. Research also realized that it is
only possible for a firm to be competitive in developing new products in the presence of a shared
