An aquarium tank can hold 5400 liters of water. there are two pipes that can be used to fill the tank.

the first pipe alone can fill the tank 90 minutes. the second pipe can fill the tank in 60 minutes by itself. when both pipes are working together, how long does it take them to fill the tank?

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

1st pipe = 90 mints        x 5400/90 = 60 lit/mint

2nd pipe = 60 mints        y 5400/60 = 90 lit/mint

(60+90)/2 = 75 mints

both will fill the pipe in 75 mints
