The focus of this Seminar is to explore the with regard to program planning and design, and grant proposals. You will also explore components of a logic model as it relates to program design, as well as different types of outcomes associated with program planning and design.Your responses should be composed in complete sentences and paragraphs and be 300-400 words in length. You should create your Seminar responses in MS Word making sure to follow APA format and cite all references used.

Please come to Seminar prepared to discuss the following:

  1. The Inputs component of a logic model consists of the resources you will need for your program, and it is related to the Budget section of a grant proposal. Determine why it is important in the program planning and design stage to have an accurate idea of the resources that you will need and how much they will cost. Justify why this might be important to funders when it comes time to put together a grant proposal.
  2. The Activities section of a logic model is related to the Program Design/Methods/Strategies section of a grant proposal. The Program Design/Methods/Strategies section is tied into the Needs/Problem Statement section of a grant proposal. Assess how you can ensure that the activities you develop for your program will be based on the needs of your community.
  3. The Outcomes aspect of a logic model is related to the Evaluation section of a grant proposal. It is necessary in the outcomes part of a logic model for individuals to consider short-term, intermediate, and long-term results of their program. Assess why funders may be interested in short-term, intermediate, and long-term results of your program, and indicate why evaluating these outcomes is important.
