Description
This is a class forum question that needs a reply with at least 150 words. I would like for it to be in your own words please.
Perception is one of the building blocks of social encounters, which include negotiation. in the sense that our social action are guided by how we perceive, analyze, and feel about the other party, the situation, and our own interests and positions. It is the process by which individuals connect to their environment (Lewicki, 2015). Although I had a great understanding of perception and its role in negotiation, I struggled with understanding the concept of framing and its role in negotiation. From what the chapter explained in regards to framing is that it is a process in which people evaluate and make sense out of situations. This seems pretty general, but I don't know how and why this would be used, I would guess it can be utilized after negotiations are completed and used as an template for future negotiation situation and strategies. Maybe I am off track here, but just wanted to comment, Any thoughts?
