CLIMATE SYSTEM

The climate system is a combination of four components. The increase in global warming enhances
the climatic change of the elements. The climate system change has been triggered by natural
factors including the sun’s energy, human activities, and environmental factors. Indicators have
been used to explore any geographical area which has evidence of any change in temperature
around the world (Bridgman, H. A., & Oliver, J. E. 2014). The signs detect early climatic system
warnings and have gotten termed as the Early Warning Indicators (EWI). When these indications
are seen, people should help spread the information to ensure everyone gets ready for anything
that might come as a result of the climate system change signs or indications (Meadows, D. et al.
2016). There are several ways to know when the climate system is a warning, and they include the
following;
Increase in air temperature over the land
When the air temperature over the land increases, it is a sign of a climate system warning, and the
scientists and meteorologists need to take action on this. When the air temperature on the land
begins to increase, humans will start to experience severe drought and extreme heat. At this point,
there is a lack of food for animals; the wild animals begin to die of hunger (Ruddell, B. L. et al.
2016). High heating on the land surface results to death of plants and there is a possibility of
desertification. On the other hand, humans are affected by the extreme radiation from the sun and
may suffer extreme heat illnesses such as sunburns, cancer, and respiratory infections.

Decrease in Arctic sea ice
When the Arctic sea ice is decreasing, there is a sign of climate system warning. The Arctic sea
ice begins to fall or is said to shrink during the summer when the days are longer than the nights
hence the Arctic sea ice begins to decrease (Screen, J. A., et al. 2015). The constant and increased
shrinkage of the sea ice indicates a more significant change in the climate system. When the Arctic
sea ice reaches its lowest point, there is an indication of extreme melting of the ice cap hence a
warning of the climatic change in that geographical area (Vihma, T. 2014).

CLIMATE SYSTEM
Melting of glaciers

The melting of the glaciers is an indication of climate system warning. In some geographical areas,
people rely on glaciers water for everyday activities and use. When the glaciers begin to disappear,
people start to know that there is a climate system warning. During this time of the season, there
is no balance in the glacier mass stays. It means that the amount of ice which evaporates or melts
is more than the amount of glacier which is replaced (Dakos, V. et al. 2015). At this time, the
people who use glaciers water are hugely affected and find this as a sign of climate system change.
There is an indication of the imbalance between the evaporated glaciers mass and the replaced
glaciers mass. The people begin to undergo water shortage both for domestic use and for
commercial purposes. Plants begin to die as there is no water for irrigation and at the same time
there is the shortage of water for cooling the machines in the factories.

CLIMATE SYSTEM
Rising sea levels

The rising of the sea levels is a climate system warning that people have come to understand. The
rising of the sea levels is another indication of climate system warning as well as change. There
has been an increase in the rise of the sea levels. There is a large mass of melting glaciers which
results in the increase in temperature of the oceans hence resulting in the expansion of the sea
(Milner, A. M. et al. 2017). When the sea expands, the people living in the coastal areas are
severely affected due to increased flooding, and a lot of dangerous storms such as the Tornadoes
and Tsunami. A sign of climatic warning will also be known when the salty ocean water reaches
the land and cause the drastic effect to freshwater animals; that is the natural ecosystem and the
fresh waters. When salty ocean waters mix with fresh waters, there would be effects to the
freshwater animals, plants as well as human activities.

Increase air temperature over the ocean
Climate system warning would be known when the air temperature over the ocean increases. When
the air temperature over the ocean become hotter, there would be increased hurricanes,
precipitations as well as more flood (Dow, K., & Downing, T. E. 2016). When a geographical area
begins to experience or see signs of hurricanes or extreme precipitation, they would understand
that there is a change in the climate system and this is a warning for the change. Reports show that
approximately 70 percent is covered by ocean and when the air temperature over the ocean
becomes hotter, a lot of destructions may occur; hence this is a severe warning of climate system
change.
Decrease in the amount of snow
When the amount of snow is decreasing, it is a clear indication of climate warning. The decrease
in the amount of snow causes helplessness to the earth as its ability to absorb the energy of the sun
gets reduced. Through this, the reflection of the sun’s energy back to space as well as the cooling
effect gets diminished.
Increase in Tropospheric temperature
When the Tropospheric temperature begins to increase, it is a clear indication and a climate system
warning. The build-up of greenhouse gases enhances the trapping of heat which raises the
temperature of the lower layer of the atmosphere; troposphere which supports living organisms.
When the lower part of the earth surface is heated, the heat gets radiated from the earth’s surface
which rises and causes the deplet...
