Strategic Enrollment Management has gained noteworthy recognition among
administrators in academics as well as other leaders. As such, academic management relies
intensely on strategic enrollment management in which case the main focus is often on the
academic curriculums, their development, structure and overall competitiveness in a marketplace
that is considered for the most part as challenging. However as the curriculum became less of a
variable it became imperative to consider innovation (Hossler, 2015). With time, there would be
an accumulation of debts by students and similarly completing of credentials as well as retention
posed a challenge for the attainment of higher education. With the value posed by the graduates
earning a considerable amount of wages, it becomes imperative to take into account the need for
financial aid in such a manner that attaining higher education is made more easily attainable.
Position strategy may be developed numerous converging vectors such as segments and
demographics of a population whereby the geographical reach is taken in to account at this
juncture and whereby aspects such as the participation and competition are also accounted for
with due consideration for other variables such as access to network and the utilization of social
networks among other things are also adhered to; Communities of Practice also known as CoP

Higher education in America is in contemporary America an institutional standard
practice. Enrollment management has since incorporated inclusion of advice, financial aid,
institutional research as well as the registrar. The expansion of the enrollment management has

understanding of the developments of enrollment management (Friedman, 2015). However, the

women to men being higher whilst that of the minority students also increasing. Needless to say
however, the families of the students and the students themselves may find that they are faced
with the predicament of finances, due to the fact the grants may not offer a wide coverage and
thus, the parents and the students may have to bear more of the costs attached to attainment of
higher learning. As a result, while taking the dynamic nature of students into account in terms of
needs and characteristics, it may be imperative that the enrollment management effort meet the
student’s needs as well as those of the 21st century.
The implementation of an office that caters to financial aid is imperative as it may allow
for institutions to attain goals and objectives as they pertain to enrollment management. The
importance of financial aid is projected as institutions continuously strive to equip their students

with funds that may enable them to meet their institutional costs. Before funds are disseminated
to the students, it becomes important to hold meetings with the intent of discussing, projecting as
well as developing philosophies as they pertain to the students that have been enrolled at the time
(Hossler, & Kalsbeek, 2013). However, it is essential to note that even though financial aid is
imperative to enable the students to attain learning, many universities and colleges lack adequate
funds that may foresee that scholarships and student aid offered by the federal government are
made accessible for families and their students (McGhee, 2015).
