The American Family has undergone many changes. These changes are impacting relationships, marriage, families, and parenthood. Of these 4 areas, choose 1 area that is of most interest to you to do some additional research on the changes that have occurred. It is worth realizing that the American family is not what it once was. The American
family has to a great extent gone through tremendous changes in the last couple of years. For
instance, children in the country now endure more emotional disruption as far as familial relation
is concerned than it was in the past. Within the last fifty years, the United States has witnessed an
intense rise in divorce, children born out of marriage, cohabitation rather than marriage as well
as families of both gay as well as heterosexual design. These changes in the American family
mark a shift away from the idea of the companion marriage that was promoted in the early 1920s
to enhanced freedom, egalitarian relationships as well as self-aspiration. The society since the
1960s has emerged to be more inclusive with women becoming more financially independent,
giving rise to increased tension in marriages. Not only are the people in America having fewer
children today, but the circumstances surrounding parenthood have also gone through significant
changes. This paper revolves around the changes that have occurred as far as parenthood is
concerned in the American family.

the changes witnessed in the last few years as far as parenthood is concerned. The association
between parents and their kids has greatly changed in recent years. The article helps us to
