Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

statistical inference is all about deducing properties of a particular distribution after analyzing data.Epidemiology deals with establishing incidences, distribution and control of diseases and other factors related to health, Consider  a situation where two types of drugs re used for such control. After conducting research to estabish the effectiveness of the two drugs, one can establish that one of the drugs is better than the other or they are equally significant. That conclusion is what is called STATISTICAL infering. The  same case can apply when establishingthe differences in the distribution of a particular aspect related to health,After collecting data and computing, one can realize that there is a significant difference in the distribution or there is none. Such deductions is what is called infering.it helps in establishing the differences in the effectiveness of the drugs as well as the differences in the health realted aspects among the population
