Choose either Moby Dick or The Catcher in the Rye(note: in the lecture, there are more devices given in relation to The Catcher in the Rye, but if you choose Moby Dick, you can discuss more than periodic sentences).
ONE of the beginnings linked in lecture to sound devices ("The Aural Text”). These include: Lolita, In Another Place, Not Here, Light in August
of the other beginnings provided in your readings including, if you
choose, one of those not referred to in lecture. If you choose this
option, be sure to focus on devices and sentence structures as you would
do for the first two options
