shipped to allied forces. Dr Dilger established a lab in the US where glanders and anthrax
cultures were incubated, tested and spread to horse ports that were destined for allied forces
(Carus and National Defense University, 2017). The biological weapon was smeared, injected or
laced in their feeds, causing deaths and disease for the horses and handlers. These actions
undermined the Allied forces capacities in the war.
