The perimeter of a rectangle is 78 cm.  The length is 3 greater than twice its width.  Find the dimensions

Then length = 2w+3.

The equation will be

P = 2(length + width)

  78= 2(2w+3+w)

36=3w+3

33 = 3w

width = 11cm

length will be 2x11+3 = 25cm
