by Testing the factor:

or,w^2+9w-w-9=0

or,w^2+8w-9=0

or,w^2+9w-w-9=0

or,w(w+9)-(w+9)=0

or,(w+9)*(w-1)=0

it means the product of these two is 0.

It implies that either (w-1)=0 or (w+9)=0

if , (w-1)=0 then,w=1 

if, (w+9)=0 then,w=-9

There is two possible solution i.e. w=0,-9
