Science is the systematic study of observations and law making. In science, ideas are not accepted unless they are proved through certain algorithmic means. Science fiction deals with the field in which ideas are accepted generally and scientific theories are generally applied to a mentally crafted idea to create something wonderful and amazing. In short, science does not engulf every idea coming into mind without further experimentation, whereas science fiction accepts general ideas based on basic scientific principles.
