Population Ecology is a sub field of ecology that deals with
the understanding the dynamics of population of species and how these
populations cooperate with the environment. It analyzes how the size of species
change over time and place. It focuses upon the factors
that affect the population size of a given organism, growth rate and spatial dispersion of individuals with populations. The basic principle in
population ecology is that A population will
grow (or decline) exponentially as long as the environment experienced by all
individuals in the population remains constant.
