disorder
Individuals experiencing substance abuse problems have a higher likelihood of also
suffering mental health problems hence integrative approaches is important in treating clients
with both disorders. Integrative recovery approaches are designed to prevail over the side effects
of mental health disorder such as low self-esteem, reduced attention span and fear to mingle with
others (Kelly & Daley, 2013). The approaches are comprehensive, assertive and focus in both
rehabilitating the client as well as reducing the harm associated with the side effects the drug
