Average angular speed in the first 8 s
= (0 + 5)/2 =2.5 rev/s
hence, no. of revolutions in the first 8 s = 2.5 * 8 =20 rev

Average angular speed in the next 9 sec
= (5 + 0)/2 =2.5 rev/s
Therefore, no. of revolutions in the next 9 s = 2.5 * 9 = 22.5 rev

Therefore total no. of revolutions in the 17 s = 20+22.5 = 42.5 rev (Answer)
