In his article, Westerman explores different ways that innovation happens (i.e. traditional improvement processes, direct experimentation, edge enhancements, and local experimentation). Which of these have you witnessed in your own organization or in that of a competitor’s?
Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!
I have witnessed an innovation through direct experimentation in my organization where the product features are improved and enhanced through experimenting with new ideas. This makes it possible for the company to reduce the flaws and faults in the product and also introduce new models like iPhone series each later model with new and improved features. All this come through direct experimentation.
