up being overlooked in the diagnosis because of a lack of clear criteria for its diagnosis including
failure to meet the criterion for symptom duration that is prescribed. Also, the developmental
milestones of children may make the diagnosis difficult, since children may exhibit more mixed
symptoms and end up being given the diagnosis that is incorrect (Giles and Martini, 2016).
Correct diagnosis of bipolar depression disorder in children is very critical to avoid
mislabeling, which will mean that children will end up being exposed to medications that they do
