Staffing is better understood as the process of fulfilling the personnel function. This includes selecting and training staff and maintaining favourable work conditions. Once I was an integral part of staffing process in an organisation. We took recruitment tests, provided training to the novel staff members, and also evaluated their performances.
Though the whole staffing process was fine, but there were few areas in which improvement was required.
1. Staff hiring needed to more open. There was a need of appropriate Human resource management tools to be included in the process.
2. Staff orientation program was not properly arranged. It must be there to formally introducing the selected individual to the particular unit, to colleagues, and to the organization.
3. Training programs needed revision. They were obsolete and thus it was required to bring some amendments in them with the prevailing working conditions.
