Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!
To get your employees to quit smoking, you may need to engage in some forceful procedures like penalties. Before you penalize your employees for smoking, try offering an incentive to quit first.
Quitting smoking for the health benefit isn't always enough to inspire some people. Financial incentives are always beneficial for people that want to quit smoking. A lot of companies will reward them each month they remain smoke-free or they may reward them for a specific amount of time when they are smoke-free (like 6 months or a year). If you don't want to give out cash incentives, offer non-monetary rewards like a vacation or gift certificates.
A good way to hand out incentives is to reward them with smaller ones along the way. For example, agree on a date when the employee will stop smoking and reward them with a small gift card on that date. Then, give them another gift card when they make it to 1 month without smoking.
