Introduction
Africa as a continent has quite some physical features from rivers, lakes, mountain, hills
among others. One of the physical characteristics that happen to be some landmark of Africa
and to be more specific Eastern part of the continent is Lake Victoria. Lake Victoria is among
Africa’s biggest lakes and is located in East Africa; it joins three countries that is Kenya,
Uganda and Tanzania. Going slightly to the history of this lake it was named after Queen
Victoria by the British explorer John Speke; this was back in 1858 (Onyutha, Tabari,
Rutkowska, Nyeko-Ogiramoi & Willems, 2016).
