A dental bracket exerts a horizontal force of 66.8 N on a tooth at point B in the figure. What is the torque on the root of the tooth about point A?(Leave answer in N*m counterclockwise)

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

The formula to calculate the torque on the root is :
T = F X D

We are given a Force = 66.8 N ;  distance (D): ?  2 m

So the torque would be to plug into the formula:

T = 66.8N X 2 m

  = 133.6 N*m

Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.

Says its incorrect

What is the distance m?

Just plug into the formula.  T = F X D

You did not have a picture for the distance from A to B. What is d?
