Intrinsic motivation is caused when one simply likes doing something and extrinsic motivation happens when one is lured in by rewards and benefits of completing the task. Example of intrinsic motivation is; a lady goes to the gym everyday because she loves working out. An example of extrinsic motivation is; a lady goes to the gym everyday because she hopes to gain an awesome body.
