There are 4 possible gametes: AB, Ab, aB, and ab. The relate to Mendel's Laws because first, the alleles separate into different gametes- each gamete must have one and only one from each homologous pair. Second, they form all possible combinations because the distribution of one pair has nothing to do with the distribution of the other pair (unless they are linked; then they influence each other)
