Introduction
The XYZ Community Hospital in Chicago requests support from the Medicare Rural
Hospital Flexibility Program in the amount of $15,000,000 towards the purchase of a number of

healthcare improvement items for the hospital. XYZ Community Hospital is one the hospitals in
the rural areas of Chicago that caters for a large population majorly low income earners. It is for
this case that the hospital is seeking funding from the program to help in the purchase of quality
improvement facilities to enhance the quality of healthcare provided within the hospital. The
hospital aims to use this fund to purchase new hospital equipment to help replace the outworn
and outdated ones as well as to supplement the existing equipment used within the XYZ
