I need help with this, I don't understand factoring at all. 4x2 – 19x 12, any help would be great. Please show step by step.
Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!
4x2 – 19x +12= 0 as quadratic equation is always equal to 0
direct factors are not possible here so we use quadratic formula
x =[ b + sqrt(b^2 4*a*c)]/2a
in above
a= 4
b=19
c=12
by putting values in quadratic formula
x =[ (19) + sqrt((19)^2 4*4*12)]/2(4)
x=[ 19 + sqrt(361 192)]/8
so
x=[ 19  sqrt(361 192)]/8 or x=[ 19 +sqrt(361 192)]/8
x=[ 19  13]/8 or x=[ 19 +13]/8
x= 6/8 or x= 32/8
x=3/4 0r x= 4
