An electron gun inside a computer monitor sends an electron toward the screen at a speed of 1.20 × 108 m/s. If the mass of the electron is 9.109 × 10–31 kg, what is the magnitude of its relativistic momentum?

gamma = 1/sqrt {(1-(1.2*1.2/9)}

gamma = 1.091

change of momonetum =gamma mv =   1.091 *9.11*10^-31 * *1.2* 10^8

= 1.19 *10^-22 kgm/s

magnitude of its relativistic momentum=Mv= ( 1.20 * 108 )*( 9.109 * 10-31)

=1.09*10^-22 kg-m/s Answer
