Description
Yes I have would allow my child to play with barbie dolls if she would like. I would just buy a variety of Barbies. Now there are a wide range of barbie dolls from every ethnicity, color and size. I don't feel that its the toy that's the issue. I feel like if you talk to your daughter and tell her what true beauty is and show her no matter what color, size or race she is that she's still beautiful then it shouldn't he a problem. Barbie dolls help girls imagination grow.
Explanation & Answer
Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!
As a young child I was always considered a big girl. I was always overweight. Although you may talk to your kids and try to tell them what true beauty is about they are constantly facing tv shows, commercials, and movies that try to tell them otherwise. Having barbies that are only one shade of color, or just skinny could make children who feel insecure feel as if they really do not fit into this world.
