Final Paper Question: Given all that we have learned this semester about the South, how would evaluate your state? In what ways has it made progress and in what ways does it remain stuck in the past (i.e. how has it changed over time)? Support your answer with evidence you found during research for the power point. Choose any 3-4 topics list on the ppt guidelines and do further research to supplement those findings. Additionally, find new information on at least three different topics to help form your opinion of your state. Suggested topics for further research: • The number of women who have served in political office • The percentage of the population that attended college Any Civil Rights actions that were not covered in our readings/class discussions Incarceration rates • Hate groups • Percentage of people without healthcare Suggested useful websites: http://www.pewforum.org/religious-landscape-study/ https://www.splcenter.org/ https://www.sentencingproject.org/the-facts/#map http://www.cawp.rutgers.edu/state-by-state https://www.facingsouth.org/ 172 words

blood would they even put up with me? Anyway, all in all, I love my family they are all I have.
The second aspect is the concept of friendship. Just like most people, I struggle with this
ideology. Over the years, I had numerous friends, but only one of them seems to stick around for
longer than a few years. Even though I appreciate the loyalty that some of my friends have
