Algebra Activity Book
Introduction
Algebra is a unique method of representing situations and objects using symbols to enhance
simple mathematical computation. Over years, mathematicians have worked on the concept of
algebra coming up with multiple theories and theorems of expressing different situations. This
concept has made it easier in solving real life challenges.
Theme: The main theme of this book will be representing general problems in algebraic
equations and the different methods to solve them.
Contents
1. Simple algebraic representation
2. Basic algebra operations
3. Systems of linear equations and inequalities

5. Real and complex number system

Simple Algebraic Representation
Suppose a set contains numerous objects which we can choose to specify the number. We can
choose to name this set say ‘A’ and the objects in it ‘a’.
Take another set say ‘B’ with objects (elements) ‘b’.
The objects/elements can be anything in real life, example; chairs, pens, cars, men etc.
