1.Find an equation of the normal line to the parabola
y = x2 − 9x + 7
 that is parallel to the line

x − 5y = 1

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

the line is parallel to x-5y=1

y=x/5-1/5

so the slope is 1/5

The equation of parabola is

y=x^2-9x+7

its derivative is

y'=2x-9=m=1/5

2x-9=1/5

 x=46/10=4.6

y=69.56

so equation of line is

y-69.56=1/5(x-4.6)

y=1/5x+68.64 is the required equation of line
