printed area = (H - 2)(W - 1)

"page area = 50 in²
HW = 50
W = 50/H

printed area = (H - 2)(50/H - 1)
 = 52 - 100/H - H
first derivative = 100/H² - 1 = 0
100 - H² = 0
H = 10
W = 50/H = 5
Each page is 10 inches high and 5 inches wide
