a.Determine the average rate of change from x=1 to x=4

 

      b. Determine the instantaneous rate of change at x=1.

rate of change= 4-1/0-0=3

rate of change is =3

dy/dt=4-2/3=3.33333

instatenious rate of change=3.3333
