Over the past couple of years, the automobile industry has experienced tremendous
growth. This has seen the industry gain many new brand entrants. However, there are just but a
few major brands in the automotive industry that are well-known. These include Ford, Toyota,
and Daimler who manufacture Mercedes Benz. They are fierce competitors in the industry and
use various techniques to get ahead. The three models of culture Hofstede, Trompenaars, and
GLOBE, the economic system of the manufacturers, engaging in generic actions to promote
economic growth, having the right leadership, and appropriate expansion plans are the key to
understanding the three giant automobile companies.
3 Models of Culture
Cultural models are important for defining the patterns of basic problems that have
various consequences on the functioning of a group. There are three key models of culture:
Hofstede, Trompenaars, and GLOBE. These three models have various implications on the
organizational culture. These three models compare and contrast differently to the organizational
setting. When it comes to the relationship with the environment, the three models value the
environment with Hofstede’s principles making a difference between masculinity and femininity.
