The clergymen took pity upon Scoresby, back in the Woolwick military school, and helped tutor him by giving him all the questions and answers to what would be used in an examination he was to take, and surprisingly, Scoresby was able to remember everything that the clergymen had taught him (which really amazed the clergymen to some extent).
