 1. How many balloons are needed for couples?  Single students?

2.  Since the committee was not certain as to how many students would be attending as couples, they needed to be prepared for the maximum number.  What would be the most balloons they would need?

3. The committee can only afford 550 ballons.  Can they be certain not to run short?  Explain your answer.

4.  If they have a supply of 600 balloons what is the maximum number of students who could attend and get balloons? How do you know?

5. If they had 250 students to attend, 176 of therm couples, how many balloons would be needed.
