-4x=y+8

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

we have :

24x+6y=25

-4x=y+8

so :

y = -4x - 8 = -(4x + 8)

so we have to put  y on the first equation :

24x + 6(-(4x + 8)) = 25

so :

24x - 24x - 48 = 25

so :

-48 = 25 impossible

so the system  of equation has not a solution

other ways :

we have

24x+6y=25   =>   24x = 25 -  6y so :  x = 25/24 - 6/24y

-4x=y+8

so must to put x the second eqution :

so :

-4(25/24 - 6/24y) = y + 8

- 25/6  + y = y + 8

so : y - y = 8 + 25/6

so :  0 = 8 + 25/6  impossible

so the system of equation have not a solution
