THE2252 September 9, 2018 Charlie Chaplin in Gold Rush The Gold Rush is a movie that tried to introduce a new form of comedy in the world. The story carries a more dramatic comedy, and the plot has been vital in exploring amazing dramatic scenes as demonstrated by Charlie Chaplin, who is the essential actor. In the movie, Charlie Chaplin is the main actor who has been able to explore different possibilities as an actor to exhaust all the dynamics of a fateful comedy. In the movie, Charlie Chaplin has been able to convert horror scenes to dramatic scenes. In the film, he acted like a gold prospector who joined other people in the chase for fine gold. In his quest for finding gold, he can avoid all forms of troubles. Charlie Chaplin acts like a tramp who is looking for love. His poverty and his decency are some of the factors that help him in surviving in the hostile environment that he lives in. Throughout the movie, Chaplin has been able to maintain an iconic figure that is featured with wearing of low-class clothes as well as a bowler hat. Chaplin can use his trickery wits in surviving in the environment. Firstly, he steals drinks in a bar and tricks other people that he is a wealthy man and he ends up getting free meals such as breakfast. The performance that Charlie Chaplin displays is quite impressive since it helps in understanding the title of the play. Charlie Chaplin is a vital character in the movie named The Gold Rush produced in 1925. Charlie Chaplin is a determined character that seeks to transform the stage to a livelier audience, and thus, he utilizes a lot of mechanisms to achieve that. Chaplin uses his physical abilities such as the use of gestures which help in attracting attention. Charlie has also utilized his voice because he talks to diverse people and as such, he lands himself good deals such as getting free meals. His character traits are different from the title that he has since it contradicts each other. In that place, Chaplin is a gold prospector, but he acts like a tramp. Charlie Chaplin has been able to create his character through acting like a stupid person. He has specialized in acting like a tramp as he tries to achieve his personal goals. Considering the environment around him, Chaplin has not been able to do any prospecting, but he is desperate, and later in the film, he falls in love with a girl who heartbreaks him. Charlie Chaplin was believable in his performance since he did capture my attention while watching the play. His actions were real and exciting to listen to. Chaplin’s playfulness is another physical feature that he maximizes on being the best actor in the film. At the start of the movie, Chaplin uses two doors as a wind tunnel to send Jim and Larsen flying. The above action is an element of physical comedy which facilitates in understanding the movie. The movie has funny scenes, and Chaplin has been keen on providing visual humour which is present throughout the film. In the film, Chaplin is silent, and he uses geometry to make calculated moves. As such, dissects comedy by using his artificial intelligence. In the film, he wrestles with Larsen and Jim for a gun. Conversely, Chaplin scurries around the room while the barrel of the gun points at him. In that scene, Chaplin can divert their attention, and his actions are a little choreographic. In one of the scenes in the movie, Charlie Chaplin can dance with a lovely girl named Georgia. Before dancing with her, Jack Cameron had heckled Charlie to stay away from the girl. Fortunately, Georgia selects Charlie to dance with him, a matter that rises issues between Chaplin and Jack. Chaplin has been a lucky man throughout the movie. At the dancefloor, Chaplin dances nicely and therefore, he impresses the girl. I found Charlie Chaplin to be tremendously believable in his role as a tramp because he has been able to outsmart even the bravest characters in the movie. Chaplin was dedicated entirely to his role as a tramp, and thus, he was able to attract people’s attention. Further, his physical traits also made his character to be interesting since he always dressed funny despite his role as a gold prospector. His gestures were also impressive, and thus, other characters were fond of him while others took advantage of his situation. All in all, I consider Charlie Chaplin as an exciting and funny character in the movie Gold Rush. Chaplin stayed in his character throughout the movie which made me love watching the entire film. His tramp and playful nature were ideal for his role in the movie since it helped in captivating the audience. I hope to see more of Charlie Chaplin's films in the future.
