Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

  total  money invested. $38500

  x+y=38500,

  total income  is $2805

   0.03*x+0.09*y=2805

Now...

   x=38500-y,

  0.03*(38500-y)+0.09*y=2805

  1155-0.03y+0.09*y=2805

   0.06*y=1650

   y=27500

   x=38500-y

   x=11000

y=x+24

4y=6x

y= 3/2x

3/2x=x+24

x=48m/s
