Today, we have a special interview with our previous interviewee, WSBN's Carolyn
Rembert, Master Chief Bacon, who is going to open up on: The Leadership Behavior.
As mentioned earlier, Master Chief Bacon is a captain, who has worked for our nation for
more than 25 years. Additionally, he manned the Supply Division on the USS George
Washington while managing more than 500 sailors, and had chances of seeing and doing things
most U.S. citizens will never see in life.
Interviewer: I am grateful for taking your time once again to be here with me and permit me to
interview you, Master Chief Bacon. The last time we were here, we conversed about the power
of influence; however, today we will concentrate on the leadership behavior. So, to begin with,
as a captain and a leader, what does a leadership behavior entail?
Master Chief Bacon: Good question. First, I will base the leadership behavior on my personal
actions as a manager of more than 500 sailors and Supply Division on the USS George
Washington. A leadership behavior involves competencies and skills and serves as the function
of individuality traits, intelligence, values, interests, experience, emotional intelligence, and
knowledge. The aspects influence the leader to act distinctly, chiefly by setting the particular
performance goals for the build teams.
