Notably, being an excellent sportsperson entails more than the athleticism, and physical
fitness that one has and incorporates other elements such as self- perception, focus, attention, and
concentration of an individual. Self-perception is how an athlete sees of view his or her abilities
and which further determine his or her mental and physical capabilities (Moran, 2016). On the
other hand, concentration is the ability to perform in a given sport with a clear and present focus
(Moen, Firing, & Wells, 2016). Similarly, focus is viewed as a central point of an individual
concentration and attention is basically what an individual is observing or perceiving in a given
sporting activity. The objective of this paper is to explore and discuss findings based on the
personal assessments and exercises done.
Based on the five assessments that I conducted on myself, there are various findings
related to self-perception, focus and concentration I found about myself that are essential in my
sporting endeavors. The findings are based on self-evaluation both as a normal person and as a
sportsman. On the self-assessment test on self- perception, I was able to deduce several findings
that relate to how I perceive things. One of the findings is that I have high capabilities of
