What was the most significant learning within the themes presented this week?
The classification protocols of transgender identities has been the major theme presented
this week with almost all the articles presented in class expressing different opinions on how to
handle the matter. The article, “trans women and the meaning of woman” by Bettcher, introduces
a new naming model that has a multiple-meaning view for consideration on the classification
transgender people. According to Bettcher, it would make things easier to consider the
transgender terms alongside the common gender convention such as “trans woman” and “trans
man” (Bettcher). In another instance, the article, “What is Sexual Orientation?” by Wilkerson,
