Multiple studies have shown the overdiagnosis of boys and the underdiagnosis of girls with ADHD and the long-term effects this can have during adolescents and even possibly adulthood. Knowing how to diagnosis accurately and knowing appropriate interventions both at home and at school is essential when treating children/adolescents.
