The project has various stakeholders, some who are internal while others are external.
The internal stakeholders include the research and design department, who are responsible for
the actual design of the product, the marketing department who are involved in the design of the
product to ensure that it is marketable. Furthermore, management is also a stakeholder since it
developed the overall strategy for the development of the product, and will be updated regularly
about the progress that is made. The sales team will provide the designers with the country and
regional specific product requirements. External stakeholders include the customer, whose the
new product targets. Additionally, government and regulatory authorities will also be
stakeholders since they will certify that the new product meets regulatory requirements (Stark,
2015). Other external stakeholders include suppliers and subcontractors, who will supply
Woolong with materials or services for the development of the new product.
The project sponsor needs to be Woolong's sales manager. She or she may know
consumer requirements better; hence he or she will determine whether the delivered products
