Introduction to Systems Engineering.
Pros and cons of incorporating some of the latest technology into the development of a
new complex system.
Pros.
It helps to enhance the capabilities of the prevailing systems giving them the ability to
execute more complex activities in a fast and more efficient way (Luo, 2014).
Increased output with regards to advanced capabilities. Advanced features that come in
company with new technology have been proved to work better and its output is normally higher.
Example: military aircraft that were initially invented could only fly height of 20 feet
above the ground for the first time. Compared to the current one, they were much slower. After
the invention of new engines and advancement in aerodynamics lead to the evolution of these
planes to fighter jets. Increase in automation technology in the approach of product
making/manufacture has also greatly influenced the volume of output and quality standards of
the output.
Cons.
Inadequate knowledge of approaching the system and technology may result in
challenges that might result in product execution failure or even more adverse situations.
